Use on its own if you have a normal to heavy period or as a back-up for other sanitary protection - a cup or tampon for example - during the first day of your period if your flow is really heavy (hemorrhagic periods, endometriosis, etc.).

Tip: you can also wear your Sisters Republic period underwear in anticipation of your period to avoid unpleasant surprises. Since our knickers are super thin (less than 3 mm thick), they don’t feel like you’re wearing a nappy and it doesn’t bulk under clothing, even tight-fitting clothing, unlike pads 😉
